For hikers and bikers, the Canalway Trail, now 45 percent complete, is adding new sections as funding becomes available. An Inn to Inn biking guide is available from the Canal Authority. Two events to keep in mind this season are the Whitehall to Buffalo Canal Cruise and Trail Trek, a two-week adventure in July (800-4CANA14) and the west-to-east Cycling the Erie Canal tour from July 8 to 15 (518-434-1583).
