Helen Keller and Alexander Graham Bell
Teacher-to-Teacher
We often teach that Annie Sullivan was the person who turned Helen Keller’s life around. Even the play, The Miracle Worker, often taught in English/Language Arts classes, emphasizes the relationship between the two women and credit Sullivan for the vast majority of Keller’s progress. However, there is another person who had a great influence in her life, Alexander Graham Bell.
